San Lorenso the patron Saint of cooks

Based on the New York Times best-selling book, Under the Tuscan Sun follows San Francisco writer Frances Mayes to Italy as a good friend offers her a special gift - 10 days in Tuscany. Once there, she is captivated by its beauty and warmth, and impulsively buys an aging, but very charming, villa. Fully embracing new friends and local color, she finds herself immersed in a life-changing adventure filled with enough unexpected surprises, laughter, friendship, and romance to restore her new home and her belief in second chances.

"It is San Lorenzo. He is the patron Saint of cooks. I think if you pray for him, he will help you find someone to cook for".

Saint Lorenzo Patron of Chefs
San Lorenzo, also known as Lawrence is the holy saint of cooks and chefs. His incredible strength and courage when being grilled to death led to his patronage of cooks and those who work in or supply things to the kitchen. The story goes that as he was being grilled, he called out to those torturing him and said, "Turn me over I'm done on this side!". August 10th is the San Lorenzo's day and there's even an San Lorenzo Facebook group.
