Julia Robert's Brownie: "I've been on a diet since I was 19"

The life of an unsuccessful Notting Hill bookstore owner changes completely, when the world's most beautiful woman and best-liked actress (Julia Roberts) enters his store. Scene: the last brownie for the saddest life story.
Memorable Notting Hill qoute:
"No thanks, I'm a fruitarian. We only eat things that have actually fallen off a tree or bush - that are, in fact, dead already. Right. Right. Interesting stuff. So, these carrots...
Have been murdered, yes. Murdered? Poor carrots. How beastly".

Fruitarian, killing the plant
Fruitarian believes that fruits and vegetables have feeling so cooking is cruel.
History of Brownies
A chef at the city's Palmer House Hotel created the confection after Bertha Palmer requested a dessert for ladies attending the fair; it should be, she said, smaller than a piece of cake and easily eaten from boxed lunches. These first brownies featured an apricot glaze and walnuts, and they are still being made at the hotel according to the original recipe.
